Alternative indie artist Alina Bea is an impressive talent wearing many hats. A singer, dancer and multi-instrumentalist, she works fiercely to perfect her craft. Her imaginative production and raw emotive vocals make the striking songstress a true force in the industry. Her poignant and refreshing single “Split At The Seams” highlights angelic vocals atop glistening guitars and stunning strings. Bea reveals, “Split at the Seams is about the fear of being controlled by your genes; the feeling that you may be predisposed to be a certain kind of person and have certain tendencies and that you ultimately have no control over it.” The dark visuals are equally as compelling showcasing uniquely contorted body movements. Inspired by a scene in the 2018 remake of Suspiria, it’s a haunting illustration of a person at war with themselves.

At age six she had already begun singing and dancing, setting the path for her career in music. Having performed at many prominent Los Angeles Venues such as a residency at The Bootleg, she continues to stun audiences with her dramatic performances and astounding string ensemble. With a deep intensity a la Meg Myers and Kate Bush, her ever-evolving sound exudes heart and vulnerability. Take a listen to Alina Bea’s “Split At The Seams” and your heartstrings will be torn.
