24-year-old dream-pop artist Ceara Cavalieri didn’t always have dreams of pursuing a career in music, but always loved the craft. The talented singer graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychology, but now makes music full-time. Discovering her voice as a kid, she used music and songwriting as a form of self-expression. Now she releases her latest single “I Wish”. Showcasing delicate, dreamy vocals and rich swirling synths, the track details a toxic relationship and the devastating emotional toll it can take. Cavalieri admits, “I found out that the person I was with at the time wasn’t monogamous and had been lying to me about a lot of stuff. After I broke it off, they would gaslight me into thinking that it was all in my head. I found myself constantly going back to this person and feeling bad about myself…like I wasn’t good enough.”

Taking inspiration from musical giants like Halsey and Katy Perry, she constructs her own unique brand of ethereal offerings that are intimate and honest. Growing from a shy teenager to now a confident musical force that knows her worth, she’s come out of a bad situation that much more empowered. Take a listen to the shimmery sonic air of “I Wish” now.
