Jenny JAM leaves the abuse behind in “Better Than You”

Indie soul artist Jenny JAM releases her spirited new single entitled “Better Than You”. The single details feeling trapped in a toxic relationship and finding the courage to break away. Featuring bold brass and sassy vocals, the track is about obtaining independence and standing up for what you want. The visuals showcase Jenny JAM looking back at good times with her boyfriend, but because he was controlling and abusive she ultimately had to leave. The video is about the struggles so many people in abusive relationships face. Jenny JAM is brave in sharing her own personal experiences of leaving a toxic relationship with us all.

The U.K. singer is known for her thought-provoking songwriting and stunning soulful tone. Drawing influences from Jazz, blues and 60’s classic rock Jenny reveals, “Amy Winehouse’s real and deeply honest lyrics mixed with her classic 60’s style jazz, has definitely made me feel that as an artist I can be more free to express who I really am, in the style I really want”. Take a watch to her new poignant video now.
