Raynes crafts a polished and infectious folk sound in “Come My Way”

A trio comprised of two Americans and a Brit, Raynes has concocted a sleek, cinematic sound best defined as “expensive folk”. Hailing from North Dakota, Mat Charley and Joe Berger teamed up with UK native Mark Race through Instagram. After an exhaustive search for an addition to the project, they knew Race was a perfect complement despite the geographic differences. Raynes third single is their most Americana sounding to date. Reminiscent of older Mumford and Sons meets Coldplay, “Come My Way” is an upbeat anthem of love. The band reveal, “There’s something of an ‘us against the world’ quality to it, naive and young and probably foolish, but motivated by nothing but love.”

The trio are known for their commanding performances that leave audiences captivated. Charismatic lead singer Mark Race sings with authority and passion while Mat Charley and Joe Berger add intricate instrumentation to the stylings of Raynes. With philosophical motifs such as sun and rain and wine and water, as well as more personal lyrical messages, their reflective songs leave listeners with a new outlook on life.
