Stephanie Rice is unafraid to acknowledge when she’s hit “Rock Bottom”
A musician and budding research scientist is not a combo you normally think of. Stephanie Rice up until a few years ago focused her energy on both those endeavors. “Almost every night I’d leave work in my lab coat, run to my car and change into my leather pants, then get up on stage and sing all night long. I’d get home at 2 a.m. and head back to work at 7 a.m., and then just do it all over again,” the songstress reveals. Now fully devoting her time to music, she has just released her latest powerful single “Rock Bottom”. With stunning emotive vocals pouring over captivating keyboards, Rice sings from the heart. She narrates a time where she was struggling and felt completely alone. Eventually, she was able to pull herself up when she learned to accept the place she was at in her life.
Throughout Rice’s life she’s definitely faced some challenges. At age 18 she was kicked out of the house for coming out to her family, but as the expression goes “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. Through that experience, she built up her strength and resilience and uses music as an outlet to channel her pain. In “Rock Bottom” you can hear that empowering toughness shine through. Admitting you have hit an all-time low isn’t an easy thing to do, but she expresses that emotion beautifully. Now with the will to restructure, she comes out of it that much stronger. Check out her poignant single “Rock Bottom” now.
